 My Photographic 📷

Taking photo is a fun art. Collecting photo also brings fun. We can use these activities to spend our time meaningfully. I also like to take pictures most of the time.I take photos for fun. It gives me great pleasure. I get those pictures and look at them and remember the past. By actually taking pictures, we can keep our favorite things close to us as a picture.

I often take photos of things in the environment. In addition, I also take photos of historical places, ruins, family celebrations etc. Nowadays, there are professional  photographers. So much progress can be seen here. However, here are some memories from the collection of photos that I have collected.

  • Gall fort
My native district happens to be Galle. Galle Fort is a place that many people remember when they say Galle. I can take the photo of Galle Fort as one of the most beautiful photos among the pictures I have collected.

Galle Fort is a fort built by the Portuguese. It was completed in 1588.It was later modernized by the Dutch in the 17th century. Currently, it is an ancient place with a history of 400 years. It is a wonderful product gifted to the world by the Portuguese. The United Nations has recognized that Galle Fort is of ancient value. It is a fine example of Dutch architecture.  Also known as Dutch Fort or Galle Wall. The Dutch Fort has been renovated. Galle Fort is a major tourist attraction in Sri Lanka. It is an architectural and archaeological heritage of Sri Lanka.
Currently, two gates are used to enter the fort. Many government office buildings have been maintained around the fort wall until today. They are currently being phased out. Galle Fort, designated as a World Heritage Site, is a beautiful and ancient treasure. Galle Fort is located on the southeast coast of Sri Lanka.

  • Kande Viharaya

Kande Viharaya is a beautiful temple that I have been visiting since I was a child. I go to visit Kande Viharaya almost every day with my family members. When I go there, I feel a wonderful sense of peace. Many people come to visit Kande Viharaya.
Kanda Vihara is located in Alutgama area of Galle and is considered as a temple created by King Rajadhirajasinha. The most special feature here is the 107-foot-tall Buddha statue.

  • Galle Beach

Galle is the capital city in the southern province of Sri Lanka. It is spread over 6.5 square miles. It has also been named a World Heritage City by UNESCO. Galle has been known as a trading city since ancient times. Galle port is known as a unique port due to its location in the Indian Ocean and some scholars believe that Tarshish, the great trading city of South Asia mentioned in the old Bible, may be Galle.

The sea of Galle is connected with the port. Its value is even higher because of that. It can also be said that tourists are attracted to Galle city because of this beautiful sea. I have been walking on the beach since I was a child. The sea is a place with a very calm environment even though it is rough sometimes. You can see how people who make their living by sea travel and how they take boats for fun can be seen on this beach. The Galle beach is really very beautiful.

  • Sigiriya
The trip to Sigiriya was very fun. I left this trip with my group of friends. We had a very fun and happy journey.

This is one of the beautiful photos in my picture collection. This is Sigiriya.Sigiriya is known as Sigiriya/Singakrila in Tamil. A river located in the Kimbissa area of Matale district near the city of Dambulla in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. It is a site of historical and archaeological importance dominated by a massive rock column approximately 180 m (590 ft) high.Legend has it that Sigiriya was a fort built by King Kasyapa. Sigiri Fort has a long history.Chosen by King Kasyapa (477-495 AD) for his new capital. He built his palace on top of this rock and decorated its sides with colorful murals. On a small plateau about half way up this rock he built a gate in the form of a huge lion. The name of the place is derived from this structure - Sinhagiri, Sinha Parvataya.

  • Kandalama Wawa
Kandalam Lake is an ancient lake located in the village of Kandalam in the Dambulla region of Sri Lanka. It consists of a dam about 21 meters (69 feet) high and 1,600 meters (5,200 feet) wide. The water collected from the reservoir is used for water supply purposes in the region.
The reservoir has a maximum length of 4.8 km and a maximum width of 2.3 km, spread over an area of about 102 square km. The total water capacity of the reservoir is about 33300000 cubic meters.Due to the beautiful surroundings of the reservoir and the presence of water throughout the year, Kandalam Reservoir has been identified as a popular tourist destination in Sri Lanka today.

While we were going to Sigiriya, we also went to see Kandalam Lake. We actually had fun playing in the water. That's when I took this picture.

  • Rangiri Dambulu Rajamaha Viharaya

Dambulla Rajamaha Viharaya is a Rajamaha Vihara located in Matale district in central Sri Lanka. It is the largest and best preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The peak that emerges from the adjacent plain rises 160 m to the sky. There are more than 80 documented caves around here. Of these, the main attractions are contained in 5 caves containing statues and paintings. These paintings and statues are associated with Lord Buddha and his life. There are a total of 153 Buddha statues, statues of 3 Sri Lankan kings and 4 statues of gods and goddesses. Among the 4 mentioned later, there are two idols of Hindu Gods Vishnu and Gana Devi. The frescoes are spread over an area of 2,100 m.Among the paintings found on the walls are the Buddha's first sermon by a monster and the Buddha's first sermon.
Before climbing a rock like Sigiriya, or when going on another pilgrimage, Bodu devotees do not forget to visit this temple and pray.

  • Wasana Hasthiya

Everyone likes to see elephants. I also like to see and collect photos of elephants. Meanwhile, while we were visiting Kataragama, I was able to get a photo of Vasana Hasthirajaya almost by chance.
Found in a forested area of Anuradhapura district, this calf was brought to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage in the year 1978 by Wimala Kannangara, who was a minister at the time, and offered it to the Ruhunu Maha Kataragama Temple. Since then, this elephant is in the custody of Ruhunu Maha Kataragama Temple. Vasana Aetha, who claims to have a very attractive and radiant appearance, is currently 48 years old. Height is about 10 feet.At present, Ajith Ashoka Liyanage is acting as the keeper of Vasana Elephant and he has been taking care of Vasana for about twenty years now.
The lucky elephant is highly respected by the people. Vasana Athu succeeds in becoming the same as King Atraju of Nedungamuwe who we remember with Senkadagala Esala Perahara.
This are few one of my photo collection .I try to collect many more photos.I like take photograph .❤️
